“Nice to meet you, Court” National Volleyball Championships with 103 teams opened on May 1st

The curtain rises for the National Volleyball Championship (hereafter referred to as the category championship), which is the largest among domestic amateur volleyball national championships. The Korea Volleyball Association (hereinafter referred to as the Volleyball Association) announced that the 78th National Championship will be held in Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do from May 1 to 7.

The event is considered the best history and tradition of Korean volleyball as well as its size. The first competition was held in Seoul in 1946, the year after liberation, and has been held every year except for 1950 when the Korean War broke out.

The Volleyball Association added, “It is a competition that has played a role as a driving force in the development of volleyball in Korea.” A total of 103 teams will participate in this competition: 33 teams under the age of 13, 30 teams under the age온라인카지노 of 16, 28 teams under the age of 19, 4 teams in the men’s general division, and 8 teams in the sports youth division.

The winning team in the under-19 division is given the right to participate in the ‘2023 Korea-China-Japan Junior Comprehensive Competition’ to be held in Japan from August 23rd to 29th.

This competition also has a special meaning. The opening ceremony of the tournament, which has not been held for three years after the declaration of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) pandemic (global epidemic), will be held again.

The Volleyball Association plans to hold the opening ceremony of the tournament starting with a pre-ceremony performance at Jecheon Gymnasium on May 1st.

Scholarship support for V-League players continued for this tournament. Following last year, Jung Ji-seok and Lim Dong-hyuk (hereinafter referred to as Korean Air) made donations for junior players.

Jeong Ji-seok supported 20 million won in scholarships for youth volleyball dreams. Lim Dong-hyuk delivers 10 million won worth of sponsorship items to improve the performance of the participating teams.

The Volleyball Association emphasized, “We are doing our best to prepare for the tournament with the organizers, the Jecheon City Sports Association and the Jecheon Volleyball Association, so that the championship can be successfully held in Jecheon, a dynamic and new economic city.”
