“‘Wikificial’ came up first” Pochettino agrees to a two-year contract with Chelsea… only announcement remains

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will eventually join hands with Chelsea.

On the 26th (local time), England’s ‘크크크벳Talk Sports’ reached an oral agreement with ‘Pochettino to take the helm of Chelsea. Chelsea are hoping to finalize a deal with manager Pochettino by the end of the week.

Pochettino held talks with Chelsea in Spain on the 24th. Details of Chelsea’s long-term vision have been discussed, with both parties calling it “very positive”.

However, until the end of this season, acting manager Frank Lampard will lead Chelsea. Pochettino is said to have decided to take over his helm from next season.

According to ‘The Sun’, Pochettino’s Wikipedia (encyclopedia) page has already issued an order. He said ‘Pochettino has been appointed manager of Chelsea on a two-year contract’. But now the traces have been erased.

Pochettino, who served as the manager of Espanyol and Southampton, blossomed at Tottenham. Born in Argentina, he managed Tottenham for 5 years and 6 months from May 2014 to November 2019. In the 2018-2019 season, his leadership was recognized by leading Tottenham to the European Champions League final.

In January 2021, he rose to the command tower of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). In the 2021-2022 season, he led PSG to the French Ligue 1 championship, but broke up due to the failure of the European Champions League.

However, it is a pity for Tottenham fans. Fans strongly hoped Pochettino would return after Antonio Conte left the team. However, it is known that Chairman Daniel Levy refused.

Coach Pochettino is also evaluated as excellent in nurturing his players. Todd Boelli, the owner of Chelsea, expects to use the players acquired by investing around £600 million (approximately 997 billion won) in the two transfer markets this season.

Attention is also focused on the revival of Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan), who returned to Chelsea last season at the club’s highest ransom price of 97.5 million pounds (approximately 162 billion won). Lukaku, who was loaned to Inter Milan, will return to Chelsea after this season.
